Gail Seavey and Worship Associate Gail Sphar will be talking about Bayard Rustin, a pacifist who was jailed as a conscientious objector during WWII and an organizer for the Fellowship of Reconciliation. He was also a rare out African American gay man who, late in life, taught that lesbian and gay rights would be the next civil rights movement. There is much we can learn about grace from this man who was ahead of his time.
