Join us for a remote journey to the North East Arnhem Land wilderness for a once in a lifetime project! As part of the Yellow Crazy Ant eradication program, volunteers will assist Indigenous Dhimurru rangers and CSIRO scientists, detecting and mapping crazy ant infestations in the bush and assessing eradication success. The Yellow Crazy Ant is listed as one of the world’s top 100 worst invasive species and is a severe ecological threat to all of northern Australia. This project has already achieved international significance due to its outstanding eradication outcomes, and has been ranked among the top 10 projects to volunteer for within Australia by Australian Traveller Magazine, This is a rare opportunity to be involved in a volunteer team on a specialised scientific project in a unique and remote location. Project will run from 5th September to 19th September 2014.
