Join us for a school safety and facilities forum The Washougal School District is inviting the publics input on issues surrounding student safety, enrollment growth, and facility capacity as it considers the recommendations of the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee. The top priority identified by the committee is Security Upgrades for Schools and Classrooms. These include the remodel of school entrances to control access, installation of additional lighting and security cameras as well as modifying classroom doors and locking mechanisms. Performing these security enhancements is estimated to cost between $950,000 and $1,250.000.
