Join us in giving a round of applause to Jessica who completed a 50km run just over a week ago to raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Australia. Here’s what Jessica said about why she did the ambitious run: “My Pop suffered and battled dementia for 15 years. To watch a man so proud and strong slowly fade away and lose all memories of his life and loved ones was heart breaking. This disease impacts everyone, not only the person battling the disease. It effects families, friends and even the carers. If I can raise some money to help with treatment and research I know we will be one step closer to one day finding a cure, and one step closer to families not having to go through what my family has been through. So I ran 50km from Rand NSW to Lockhart NSW in honour of my Pop and those who have battled and are battling this disease, and also for their loved ones and carers.
