Join us tomorrow at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Homosassa for Lu the hippopotamus 55th birthday. Lu has been a resident at Homosassa Springs since 1964 and weighs more than 6,000 pounds. Lu will be celebrated with two special birthdays, one at 10:00 a.m. and another at 12:30 p.m., where visitors will sing a special birthday song written by park volunteer Vicky Iozzia.
