D-Day 360 is the story of the Invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, when Allied forces launched an all-or-nothing attack on Nazi-occupied Europe via five heavily defended French beaches. The documentary makes use of LiDAR technology to recreate the landscape and focuses on a five-hour period on Omaha beach. It also offers micro and macro views of the assault, detailing the experiences of individual soldiers while also pulling back to provide a big picture of the battle. pbs.org/program/d-day-360/
