Joining us on Wednesday evening will be Chris Switch Sobkowich. Chris started playing music at an early age, studying guitar at The Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto. He won the Manitoba Music Competition for Classical Guitar, Level 11, and in 1999 Chris won Fender Guitar Warz. In 2000 he won the same competition, playing alongside Jeff Healy, one of Canada’s premier blues and jazz musicians. Chris eventually moved to Los Angeles and studied guitar at The Musicians Institute in Hollywood where he graduated First Class Honors and was dubbed “a success story” by the Institute. Chris’ discography includes recordings with House Of Lords, Nancy Sinatra and original bands Rumble Tribe and Steel House Lane. He has toured the U.S. with Boogie Nights, a popular disco parody, and Chris now currently works with several LA area based bands including “The Long Run,” a tribute to The Eagles, “Space Oddity,” a tribute to David Bowie and “Rob Caudill’s Tribute To Rod Stewart.” Chris has also been the guitarist for 80’s sensation, Gene Loves Jezebel for the last 10 years.
