Jon Gruden joined the Mike & Mike Show to discuss the upcoming MNF matchup between the Cowboys and Redskins. This is what he had to say about the performance of the Dallas Cowboys so far this season. When you have an offensive line, you can call any play. You can run the ball inside or out, you can take a 7-step drop, you can run creative pass protection, you can use audibles - Thats what Dallas has going for them on offense. Theyre able to feature arguably the best running back in football, the best receiver in football and possibly the best overall tight end in the league, and Tony Romo, we all know, when something does break down can create offense. But the story of the year to me is the Cowboy defense. I call them the UFO defense, they are unidentified flying objects. Theyre under-appreciated, theyre unrecognized and they are the story to me. They are playing great football.
