Jonathan Heaton Family Reunion July 23-25, 2015 Moccasin Day – July 23, 2015 1. Ron and Renee Johnson, are Reunion chairmen for the Moccasin day of the Reunion, Thursday, July 23, 2015. Here is what they plan: -Horse and wagon rides -Tour guides to tell the stories of various family locations, to include the Big House, Sand Springs, Money Rock, the Dairy cave by the Long Reservoir, and the Museum being created at the school house, and also the water tank. -Hands on demos of Moccasin activities, such as taffy pulls, soap making, milking, and butter making. -Watermelons served all day -Speaker and dedication of the monument being created (By Lurana and Dennis) to honor Johnathan, Lucy and Amy and their children. -A Branding wall, where family members are encouraged to add their brands to add to the Heaton Family Brand wall made from old barn wood. -Visits to Pipe Springs with family tour guides (looking promising with the current superintendent) -Dinner -Bonfire and stories Its going to be a fabulous day.
