Jonestown Junior Legion defeats Newmanstown 5-1 Isaac Wengert had two extra base hits, sparking Jonestown Junior Legion to a 5-1 victory in seven innings over Newmanstown on Wednesday. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings. Newmanstown couldnt get anything going as long as Hayden Johnson was pitching. Newmanstown managed just one hit off of Johnson, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out four during his seven innings of work. Jonestown Junior Legion was sparked by Seth Walmer and Wengert, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs. Jonestown Junior Legion never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI single by Wengert.
