Jordan won by out working every one of his opponents in the practice room, weight room, and most importantly when no one else was looking. People often make the mistake that the best are born that way, thats a terrible mindset and one that takes away the control you have to get there yourself. Jordan won because of his mentality and preparation, when things got difficult he didnt feel sorry for himself he worked harder. When he got sore or tired he understood that the current pain and sacrifice is only making you reach your goal to become the best. We have a member of our high school team that never misses a practice, has 2 practice nights two days a week, and when most athletes on Sunday are thinking of how sore they are or how glad they are that they didnt have a workout after a long tournament, our guy is wrestling with the best in the area right away in the morning. All of these sessions are available to middle school and high school wrestlers at zero cost, you just have to choose to show up. Ali was quoted saying Champions arent born they are made. We need to believe that the ability to win is determined by our actions. The right actions can only be achieved with the right mindset. No more excuses, no more Im sore, no more Im too tired.
