Jose Mourinho Dismisses Petr Cech to Arsenal Rumours in News November 21, 2014 Jose Mourinho has dismissed rumours that Chelsea have received a £7 million offer from Arsenal for goalkeeper Petr Cech, who continues to be a frustrated figure in the sidelines. Cech has made little noises about move away from Chelsea. He recently said that any decisions with regard to his future lay with Chelsea right now since he has two years left on his contract. Despite this, speculations about the offer from Arsenal have mounted. Liverpool and Real Madrid are also thought to be monitoring the situation. Mourinho has completely dispelled those rumours ahead of the home match against West Brom. According to Sky Sports, he said: “I have zero proposals for Petr Cech. “Petr has a contract for two more years, he’s a fantastic professional. Not once has he knocked on my door to inform me about his desire to accept some proposal. I promise you that what I’m telling you is the truth.” The Czech Republic stopper came to Stamford Bridge in 2004 and has been a first-team regular since then. The arrival of Thibaut Courtois has seen him lose his spot. Courtois is 10 years younger than Cech; this appears to have been the sole factor in Cech becoming second choice, as there is little separating the duo in terms of ability or performance. He is once again likely to start on the bench against West Brom, but Mourinho has recently been using him in the Champions League and Capital One Cup matches.
