Jose Mourinho keen to land new Cristiano Ronaldo for Chelsea. Chelsea are plotting a fresh move for Galatasaray wonder-kid Bruma, as Jose Mourinho sees him as having the required talent to thrive at Stamford Bridge. The Daily Express, citing reports in Turkish newspaper Bugun, claims that the Blues are willing to go head to head with the likes of Everton, QPR and West Ham in order to sign the winger, who has long carried a promising reputation. It’s not the first time Chelsea have been linked with him, and similar reports last summer even suggested that the west London giants were close to signing him. However in the end the interest appears to have fizzled out, only for Mourinho to reignite its spark as he looks to build on last terms shortcomings and mount a serious title charge. The gifted 19-year-old, who has in the past been dubbed as the new Cristiano Ronaldo, only missed out on Portugal’s World Cup squad due to a serious knee injury he sustained in January, and his three assists in seven first-team appearances for Galatasaray have offered an indication as to how good he could be if allowed to develop in the right surroundings. While it’s thought that Roberto Mancini only wants Bruma to leave on a loan deal, the Express states that due to his elder brother being on the books at Fulham, he may be swayed by the idea of moving to London permanently. Chelsea will face tough competition from Everton in particular, and it’s said that Roberto Martinez may have already made an official offer to try and replace Gerard Deulofeu, who returned to Barcelona after his loan spell at Goodison Park last season. However Stamford Bridge fans will take heart from the fact that Mourinho seems to be on point with his dealings in the transfer market thus far this summer, and has already virtually clinched the signings of Francesc Fabregas and Diego Costa from La Liga.
