Josephs Song... (An absolute must hear song) The life of Joseph as experienced through this song is so meaningful to me. He was just a man, a simple man. One that had no high regard in society or in worldly means. He was confronted with a task that, in his day, was going to be one of self sacrifice, misunderstanding, turmoil and challenge. To raise and nurture a child that was not his own. It just so happened to be the Son of God. Joseph didnt take center stage or spend time proclaiming who he was raising. He took on the humble and honorable cause of providing a father, a parent, a family, a home, a trade; love, acceptance and time. All of this he gave to a child that was not his own but Jesus became his own by the way he loved him. To me Joseph was an incredible example of how a man can Love and Accept. How a man can be selfless and generous beyond even his own limits. As I raise my child alone I must acknowledge that some day I may need to ask a very special lady to be an example to my princess, to show her the love of a mother that she hasnt had in a very long time. It will be no small undertaking because I have high expectations for the woman this lil princess will soon become. I also know that some day I may be called upon to be a Joseph to anothers children. To be all that Joseph was called to be. With the Grace and Provision of God I will joyfully accept that task if called to it. I will fail, I will fall, I will disappoint and I will likely miss the mark in some way but I will remember that its not about being perfect, its about having the right heart. It would be an honor and privilege to be apart of raising a child that was not mine but has become mine. Men, we have an example, let us follow it. I write this to honor a man worth honoring.
