【Joshi-Tabi (女子旅) - Girls’ Travel】 Increase your business fortune Every year in November, on the days of the rooster (according to the Chinese zodiac), the Hanazono Shrine in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is decorated with good luck charms such as the kazari kumade (decorative rake) – a custom passed down since the Edo Period – to wish its visitors good luck and business fortune for the Tori No Ichi event. You will find a sea of people lining up in front of stalls by the shrine to purchase a kazari kumade and other festivity-filled goods. On the day before, they also hold a “zenyasai” (eve celebration) from noon until 2am. It is especially beautiful at night, as the whole shrine is lit up with lanterns. Stop by and peek into a unique piece of Japanese culture! #girlstravel #joshitabi #tokyo #shinjuku #event hanazono-jinja.or.jp/mt/top/ (Japanese) Tori No Ichi Date: 10 Nov. & 22 Nov.
