JoshnSalena Moua asked where to get these inserts locally and the topic sidebard to a different discussion about kydex. Andrew Lundeen of Lundeen Tactical and I had a differing of opinions on the ease of which one could make these using stuff around the house (still need kydex). I made the claim that you could even make these using a hair dryer. The truth is....you can....but it SUCKS!!! I decided to make an article about it for those interested in trying on their own with some details and caveats. In the end every person needs to decide whether or not it is worth it to them to get into the DIY world or deal with the retail world were items are just a mouse click away. Andrew Lundeen....3 for $7.50 is a great price! Im going to tinker with the ones I made and make ones using my proper tools and see if I cant expand on the idea some. If you have a kydex project youd like to discuss post it as there are many people with know how and the ability to help out and even test it out for you.
