Joshua William DeAlbaLoyda DeAlba Sass 22 mins · Just got home from seeing my mother at the hospital. For everyone asking whats going on, this morning Loyda DeAlba Sass suffered from a heart attack, and was defibrillated after her heart had stopped for a number of minutes. She was put on a respirator and taken to Sanford Regional Hospital, where she remains in the the Intensive Care Unit. She has yet to regain consciousness, and procedures have been done to minimize damage to her brain due to the seizures she is experiencing, and to relieve the fluid that has accumulated in her lungs. Tomorrow they are going to begin the process of waking her up, and we will know more about her condition. She is not breathing on her own currently, but she is pumping her own blood and her vitals all look good - she is fighting. While it is not certain what the outcome of this event will be, it is certain the amount of people that love and care so deeply about my mother just by looking at all of the texts, calls, messages, and posts that are flooding in. It means so much to our family to see all of the love and support. She is fighting, and we are remaining optimistic. Thank you all, and please keep her in your most fervent prayers.
