Journal – Castle Frisco’s – Day 7 My arrival on the 7th - TopicsExpress

Journal – Castle Frisco’s – Day 7 My arrival on the 7th moon was swift, but unnecessary. The vile creatures were not attacking in droves. Ancient creatures were lumbering into the castle, hungry for blood and soul. Their winkled faces and dark eyes have seen more moons than I can count. My thoughts are that these creatures might be fodder for the incoming horde, later in the night. For a moment, I take some time to wander the castle before making way to my post. On the wall, where the throne room of King Cheesman lays; Epic Warriors are listed. These names, engraved in stone, are the great people within our castle. Light radiating down on their heroic deeds, this holy sanctum brings memory to our comrades. In my many years, I was chosen once; however the carver of these stones had not yet arrived. My name is but a shadow. Overlooking the grounds, the space is wide and towers above us are tall. A grand castle, the keep has witnessed many battles. Above is the flickering of torches which light our way across the area in hopes to capture any sneaking monster, lurking in the shadows. Lady Eliza, Wand of Light now in hand, is paired with Sir Zachary of Londonaeir, Sword Master of the Broad Sword. They will protect the tunnel of supplies today. My back is reinforced with the Dwarven Warrior, Sir Andrew and Lady Natalie of the Glass Bow. Not many times have I seen an Elf and Dwarf together in battle. I look forward to the outcome of this heroic dance. If assistance is needed, my blades will make quick death on those who oppose our protection to the lower dungeon. As the sun begins to set, battle begins to increase. It’s without surprise that the dark legions of monsters begin their attack. Hunger in their eyes become overwhelming to all on the grounds. Sir Scott of the Dwarven clan is cornered and widely swinging his axe. With a quick run to the back, I retrieve more supplies to assist. I heave another axe and without thought, his hand grabs the weapon unleashing a whirlwind of speed and strength. They quickly plow through the vile creatures without mercy. Lady Michelle is unleashing quivers of arrows at the incoming rush of beasts. They fall quickly at the feet of Lady Avera, Lady Courtney and the other Halflings, led by the Queen of Halflings; Lady Sandra of Hinterlins. She is magical in beauty and strength. My envy shows as Lord Brett of Wineburg shows quick action on stealing her heart. I wish them well. Above the grounds, a great mix of skill is watching our air from attack. The dabbler of Magic, Master Bobby is protecting the back tower. Sir Scott of Hedges is overlooking the main tower, making sure our swords are swift and strong in the grounds below. The great warriors of the Irish Empire are paired in the Eagle Tower. Lady Shibby of song will calm the horde as a claymore slices through their badies by the warrior, Sir Colm of the Emerald Castle. Lady Darcy, of the Elvenburg completes this group of powerful heroes, with her glass bow. A panic ensues amongst the archers; we have run out of arrows. Quickly, the scouts of Sir Andy and Sir Georgster begin the fletching of more arrows. I join in to assist as my skill at making arrows is of legend. Sir JR, Holy Paladin of Elevated Lands is with the Dwarven Blacksmiths, hard at work with supplies. He shouts for assistance to the others, running for cover on the onslaught of attacks. Some meet his demands, while others give haste to the grounds. I at one time ignore his pleas and relish on my escape as this ‘Jester’ of warriors can sometimes send me into a furry of rage with his antics. His work proves worthy of respect and appreciation as I know the work is truly tiring. The battle begins to dwindle and a last push of blood sucking creatures invades the castle walls. Songstress April is quickly attacking the horde and assisted by a Lordling, Sir Tyler. His might and strength summoned by our great Empress, Lady Kymm; is here to learn of our battles and gain wisdom so as to lead his own army of great warriors. Sir Paladin, John is watching with keen eye and with his knowledge of battle, he assists Sir Tyler during this chaotic crusade. I admire their strength as I bare witness to many monsters falling around to their knees in hopes that their demise is swift and painless. Their wishes do not come true. As I collect my rewards and fletch fifty arrows, order by Lord Jeffery of Wineburg, my courage begins to waiver. Tomorrow is the day that word of the Dragon of the Lost Mist might attack in revenge. Saturdaz will not be kind. Seven moons ago, his retreat was met with anger and hatred for our stronghold. Will we survive and vanquish this creature of might? We must and we will! We will raise the head of this dragon in the air and show all other castles across the land that King Cheesman and his warriors are not be reckoned with. Castle Frisco’s will reign supreme!
