Journalist Allen Clifton thinks Cop Block is a hate group. I love Cop Block. It does not promote violence or retaliation, but transparency and accountability. Yes, it has a definite impression of police as unaccountable and abusive of citizen rights. The video, documentation and information that it collects is a valuable resource in educating the public about horrible acts, violence, abuse of power, crimes justified with badges, rights violations, the imposition of a subjective and often whimsical order at any cost. I post the article here primarily for the commentaries at the bottom of the page that address the authors positions, as those responses tend to be enlightened, educated and reasonable... like the thoughtful and thought-provoking posts that I primarily try to share with my readers and friends. Change doesnt happen through force. It takes place unstoppably after it is preceded in the mind.
