Journalist Lay Samean was seriously injured this month when Cambodian security forces attacked him while he was trying to report about election march near Freedom Park. They hit and kicked Samean the face, head and stomach and left him lying unconscious in the street. Samean was so seriously injured that he had to have a complicated and expensive facial reconstruction surgery.
