Journey Glimpses of Glory. When we come into Your presence , past the gates of praise ,Into Your sanctuary ,where weer we standing face to face . We look upon Your countenance and see the Glory of Your grace , then we just bow and say. You are Awesome in this place Mighty God , You are Awesome in this place Abba Father. You are worthy of all praise to You our voices raise, You are Awesome in this place Mighty God. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12 :2-4 , I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know , or whether out of the body I do not know. God knows - such a one was caught up to the third Heaven. And I know such a man - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know , God knows how he was caught up into Paradise and heard Inexpressible words, which is not lawful for man to utter. From time to time God in His loving kindness and tender mercy toward us , gives us Glimpses of Glory something that we can keep our focus on as we continue in our pilgrimage here on earth . The Glory is actually the presence of God. In Exodus , in the 24th chapter and 9th and 10th vs. it is written , Then Moses went up , also Aaron , Nadab , and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel., and they saw the God of Israel , and there was under His feet as it were a paved work of Sapphire stone, and it was like the very Heavens in clarity. In Isaiah 6: 1-7 , Isaiah was given a Glimpse of Glory and the presence of God. In the year that King Uzziah died , I saw the Lord sitting on a throne , High and lifted up , and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim ; each one had six wings ; with two he covered his face , with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried out to another and said : Holy , Holy , Holy , is the Lord of hosts ; The whole earth is full of His glory ! And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out , and the house was filled with smoke. There is a holy quietness and stillness that descends upon our hearts when in the presence of our God. There is a sense of personal unworthiness and yet an overwhelming sense of gratitude that He has allowed us to experience His presence. Such was Isaiahs experience , for he said Woe is me , for I am undone ! Because Im a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips : For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts. ( vs 5) But God in His great grace and tender mercies , purges from us all of our iniquity so that we can enjoy His presence and hear His voice. ( vs, 7-8 ) Isaiah was discouraged about the death of King Uzziah, So the Lord gave him a Glimpse of Glory that had the effect of enabling him to keep going on in the Lord. I for one , do need a Glimpse of Glory from time to time that encourages me to press forward to keep going. However in order for me to get that Glimpse of Glory I need to spend time in communion with the Lord. Time where He can speak those things I need to hear into my heart. In the book of the Revelation , John described what was his glimpse of glory I would suggest that you read Revelation chapters 21 and 22. Keeping in mind that John was in exile on the isle of Patmos. Isolated from the family of God , a place of desperation and suffering. Into this place of desperation God entered and gave John a Glimpse of Glory< that encouraged his heart and enabled him to keep going on in the faith. Three times the Lord said to him Behold , Im coming quickly ( vs, 7 , 12 , 20 ) This was an encouragement to Johns spirit. You and I are no different. In times of personal desperation and struggles we need to be encouraged, we need a Glimpse of Glory and to be reminded that ,He is coming quickly. So my friends , I would encourage you to get into a quiet place with God , read these passages that I have quoted, allow God to encourage your hearts through His glimpses of glory and hold unto the truth that He is coming quickly. Come Quickly Lord Jesus , Come Quickly. Seek Him and be Blessed.
