Journey Of Destiny: The excitements, frustrations and Ultimate fulfillment: Learning from Israelites’ Encampments And Settlements: ENCAMPMENT (31): MARCH STATION {18}: ENCAMPMENT OF EZION-GEBER [ Giant’s backbone]. Num. 33:35,36, Deut. 2:8, 1 Kings 9:26, 22:48; 2 Chron 8:17; 20:36. Have ever imagined yourself going on a journey and you decided not to pass through a particular route because it’s dreaded? Can you imagined making a similar journey, but you have no option than to pass through such a dreaded route? The Israelites had no option that to pass through Ezion-gaber. Ezion- gaber is literally known to be Giant’s backbone. It was the last encampment that led the Israelites back to Wilderness of Zin. It was a route they could not avoid its passage. Now that they had learnt their lessons and had known how to fully trust and depend on God, they were not shaken nor moved evn though they knew that they were to pass through the strongest stronghold of the enemies. Who will ever have believed that this same Giant’s back bone would ever become a notable place for the descendant of Israel? Are there not some lessons we have to learn here too as we journey into our destiny. Your toughest place of struggle might become your best place of success and breakthroughs. Your greatest place of opposition might end up to be your best place of celebration. The place of your greatest challenge might become your best place answered prayers with solutions. It is obvious that where you faced the toughest battle is where you will have the greatest victory. The most difficult thing to break is the back bone. It is when this same backbone is broken that tells you that the battle is over. Until you break through Ezion-geber, your wandering through the wilderness of journey of destiny cannot be said to be ended. Until you conquer Ezion-gaber, your merry-go-round is yet to end. Ezion-geber may end up to be your economic base in the future. Do not be intimidated by it now. Face it and conquer it. It is the giant’s back bone because it is the last step that returns you to Kadesh- your place of re-connection to God’s original plan and purpose for your life. This is the last adversity you must not fail to overcome. Prov. 24:10. In these eighteen (18) march stations, they learnt so much after they had been dealt with. They eventually come out refined, prepared and made ready to possess the Canaan land. Are you facing any situation that seems to be so gigantic to face? Are you considering giving up? Are you having the feeling that you cannot penetrate your giant? Arise and break the back bone. God is right with you as the Mighty Warrior. You are face to face with victory therefore, do not give up. Prayer: O Lord, I receive courage to face every giant that might be confronting my breakthroughs now in Jesus name. I enter into my final rest and victory in the name of Jesus. Amen.
