Joyce and Scott, clients of CVCA Leesburg, wrote a heart felt email to share with us about their beloved Murphy. We wanted to share this email with our Facebook Family and express our sympathy to the family as our hearts go out to them. I wanted to let you know that Murphy Smith, who came to you a few weeks ago, passed away from hemangiosarcoma on Friday, July 4th. He came as a referral to CVCA Leesburg from a primary care veterinarian who had done a pericardiocentesis. Dr. Pasieka and Heather at CVCA Leesburg took wonderful care of us while we were there, and unfortunately discovered both a heart tumor and a splenic tumor. The splenic tumor started bleeding a couple of weeks later, but we were able to get it stopped. However, one of them (still not sure which) started bleeding on July 4th, and we werent able to stop it. We had to let him go on that day. Despite the sad ending, I wanted to express my thanks to all of you guys at CVCA Leesburg who took such care with Murphy and with us - he was a very special dog to me as he was a mamas boy and I will never forget how gentle you were with him during what was a very stressful time for all us. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Murphy is at the Rainbow Bridge now, where he can run and play to his hearts content with his big sister Emma. Attached are a couple of pictures of Murphy enjoying himself - running through a field, and jumping into a pond (he loved to retrieve and swim). The joy on his face when hes running makes me smile. And thank you for Joyce for sharing such wonderful pictures of Murphy having a great time running and retrieving and swimming!
