Judges Are Not Above the Law, Says Chief Justice (Punch report) What a relief! I opened up the link to this story with great trepidation. Was the Chief Justice echoing the folly of the streets, which made the rounds recently, when the Inspector General of Police, in a gross dereliction of his duties, and in a demonstration of his disturbing ignorance, led the police to invade the National Assembly? He is not. He merely states that judges should be incorruptible. Of course, judges are not above the law. Nobody is, however, judges have the authority to interpret the law. I thank you.
