Judges needed The speech and debate coaches at Sturgis Brown High School are looking for volunteers to serve as judges for a tournament hosted by the school on Saturday, March 22. Students from 8-10 area schools will be participating in the tournament which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the high school. Experience in judging is not a prerequisite. “We will provide instructions and guidance,” said coach Eric Johnson. Events consist of Lincoln Douglas debate, public forum debate, student congress, oratory, extemporaneous speaking, dramatic interpretation, humorous interpretation and duo interpretation.
