Judging others will only make you JUDGE MENTAL…. Romans 2:1-3 - TopicsExpress

Judging others will only make you JUDGE MENTAL…. Romans 2:1-3 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? It is human nature to judge things….and it seems even more so for those of us in the faith to over analyze what we seem to be see as truth. This scripture reminds me that God is the one true Judge. He sees the whole picture whereas we may only see one side or a small part of a person’s situation. The word inexcusable really stood out to me when I studied this verse…..When the boys do something and get in trouble for it…I almost hope and pray as I am asking them what happened that they have a good excuse for doing whatever it is that they did. NOTHING MAKES A MAMA MADDER than when they look at me and shrug their shoulders….You see If you had an excuse I could lighten the punishment, I could have mercy on them…However, when they offer no excuse my hands are tied. I think this may be the way this makes our Father feel when we judge others. When he calls our hand on it all we can do is stand and shrug our shoulders. I worked at the cucumber market when I was growing up. It was my job to separate the jumbos from the rest. I was not judging to see if it was a cucumber, but only if it was a jumbo. We must separate ourselves from the world without judging the world. I could not tell you how many cucumbers I would see in one day….and I would occasionally have to take a break to refocus …..when you saw cucumbers almost non stop coming up the conveyer belt it would seem sometimes if a petite was a jumbo (THE TRUTH WAS BEGINNING TO BECOME CLOUDY). However, I had a guide that my boss had given me when I first started, it was my ruler if you will it was a standard for me to separate the jumbos with. Yes I thought I would go crazy lookin at cucumbers. I’m sure when I closed my eyes at night I saw cucumbers in my sleep…THEY CONSUMED ME!!! When we allow the lives of others and what appers to us to be wrong or unjust to CONSUME our every thought or motive; then we are becoming judge “mental”. We are allowing our judging to drive us crazy. We must separate ourselves from the world. At times is does get blurry and it’s hard to see the TRUTH and what we should separate ourselves from. That is when we should go the standard “God’s Word” and get refocused on our lives and let God do the judging of others. How many petites did I throw out because my vision was blurred???? Just like the parable of the one lost sheep that the Shepard left the 99 for…Matthew 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
