Juice Rap News launched the final episode of this season yesterday. Its quite a momentous one with a bit of a backstory, so watch it here, before I spoil some of it below: https://youtube/watch?v=W4nSjPdT788 I first met Giordano Nanni about 6-7 years ago, and in an experience anyone who knows him will share, I was absolutely staggered by the intellect of the man. I quickly became used to enjoying Giordano rants about any number of topics. He is a guy with no shortage of opinions - nothing unusual there - but unlike most peoples, they are sui generis, well-researched, and Id literally not heard their like before. One of the best came from considering the phenomena of conspiracy theories the New World Order - the Illuminati - the hidden hands that rule from the top, and keep good folk like you and me at the bottom of a huge pyramid scheme. Giordano skilfully deconstructed this on several occasions, providing the backbone not only to the episode youve just watched, but in fact to the entire Rap News project. From the very earliest days, we have been talking about doing the Pyramid episode, but we kept on putting it off until we had accumulated the characters, tropes and skills required to pull it off. So, there it is - Rap News 30 - something of a milestone. At least 5 years in the making, and one of the primest cuts of the Giordano philosophy served up with all the skill and visceral vigour we can muster at this stage of the project. Likely discomfiting viewing for most of us, but we very much hope that you enjoy it nonetheless... and share it far and wide! x
