Juice cleanse starts tomorrow! Here is your first recipe: 3 Handfuls Spinach 1/2 Cucumber 1 Small green apple (cored) Small handful almonds 2 TBS Flax Seeds Blend well. This makes one smoothie. You should be drinking 3 or 4 of these a day. Every hour your blended drink/juice is exposed to oxygen, it starts to lose its nutritional value, so try to blend/juice right before consumption. If you are pre-juicing in the morning to take for lunch, that is ok...just be sure to use an air tight lid and make your dinner drink fresh! Note: If you are using a juicer and not a blender, you have to double the spinach and cucumber, use raw flax oil instead of flax seed (mix this right into your finished juice, dont put through juicer), and eliminate the almonds. Remember, the goal here is to give the organs a break. Your juice is being absorbed by the bloodstream with your body doing minimal work to digest. So try not to snack. But if you absolutely must, eat raw veggies without any dressing or sauce, or a couple of almonds...but chew really well and eat slowly!
