Juicy soya nuggets with burnt garlic and green peas in rice The multitude of options with leftover rice never ceases to awe. This another simple one is a super quicker. (A) take one mid size bowl of left over rice, preferably overnight from the refrigerator and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes. (B) take about one small bowl of soya nuggets and boil them in water with a dash of salt in it. As the nuggets become soft, take them out and put them in cold water just enough to soak them and add two tbsp of vinegar from the top. Let it soak for around 15 min. Take them out and softly squeeze the nuggets (dont make them wringed out) and keep them ready for the rice. (C) take a non stick pan , add two table spoons of white oil and heat it well. Add one table spoon of finely chopped garlic at high heat and stir it briefly till the garlic smokes well. Lower the temp to mid flame and add half a tea spoon of cumin seeds, two dry red chilly, a handful of green peas, one tsp of red chilly powder and salt to taste. Add the soya nuggets and stir the mix well for two minutes. Add the rice and leave the flame at sim level. Keep it like that for five minutes ocassionally remixing the ingredients in the pan. When you have the rice, the mild sourness of the juicy nuggets combined with a burnt garlic flavour create an explosion of flavours in your mouth with the goodness of rice. facebook/jdhomekitchen
