Jul. 26, 2014I hate the idea of getting a used car. When people say, when you buy a used car you also buy other peoples problems, they are so right. I have had the WORST luck with used cars. However, my son needed to get some wheels for work and college. With a limited budget we were off looking for a used car. . .sigh. We live in South Toledo so there are many little buy here, pay here lots. Nothing, just junk. We drove into Rose City Motors. The key word is drove, because the cars they offered were way over priced, and bigger pieces of junk than the small buy here, pay here lots we had gone through. However, right past Rose City Motors we noticed a small lot with several nice looking PT Cruisers. We stopped in. All the cars looked sharp, with great sticker prices. . .but the lot was closed with a sign that said Opened on Thurs. only?? We jotted the number down. I called on a Wednesday just to see if I would get a pick up. . .I did. ***** answered with his more than hospitable voice. He said he had other lots (one on Tramainsville. He is retired and selling cars was one of many things he did. As far as the hours. . .just call him. The man is incredible, he will do his best to meet with you when you want, no matter the day. In fact, ***** was out at the Reynolds Rd. lot with us every time we asked. We decided on another one of his vehicles that he had, but again, all the cars looked to be in great shape. . .most within the XXX-XXXK mileage. Next step: I told my son not to get too excited. We have looked and had several cars checked by an independent mechanic. . .lemons. So off to the mechanic we went . The mechanic who knows me by now ******** **** ******* gave a big sigh when he saw me AGAIN. Another inspection to wait out. **** came out with a surprised look on his face. . .literally. He said the car looked great (I needed new front rotors only). No leaks, nothing. Great car, and quickly asked where I got it. As far as *****, just a great guy with an abundance of laughs, and a positive attitude on life. By the time you are done meeting with him, you secretly wish he would jot your number down in case he and his wife want to meet up with you and your spouse (I imagine his wife has to be just as much of a riot). Anyway, good guy. . .great cars. . .awesome prices. Its worth looking into really. Thank you *****.This customer had a POSITIVE experience with this business.
