Julia Milliken April 20, 1919 - Sept. 5, 2014 MISHAWAKA - Julia Milliken, 95, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014, in her daughters and son-in-laws residence with her family at her bedside. Julia was born on April 20, 1919, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Bernard A. and Candus (Mohn) Scheibelhut. On July 17, 1943, Julia married William Milliken in Mishawaka. William passed away in 2006. Julia is survived by her 6 children, Robert (Carol) Milliken of Marshall, MI, William P. (Christine) Milliken of Fishers, IN, Mary Jo (Paul) Dorbin, Jean (Perry) Gish, Jan (Doug) Baldini, all of Mishawaka, IN, and Beth (Ted) Modlin of Granger, IN. Julia is also survived by a brother, Richard (Gail) Scheibelhut of Victory, TX, and a sister, Betty Gilmartin of South Bend. Julia was a loving and caring grandmother to 18 grandchildren & 32 great-grand-children. Julia was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Aloy and Bob Scheibelhut. Julia and her husband William were the owners/ operators of Melody Drive In. She was a RN at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend and Mishawaka for 5 years. Julia was a parishioner of St. Monica Catholic Church and was part of the Rosary Society. Julia would spend her winters in Sun City, AZ. Julia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family whom she cherished most of all. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Monday, September 8, 2014, with the Rosary to be recited at 5:00 pm in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, with one hour visitation prior on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, with Monsignor Bruce Piechocki officiating, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
