Julia is all done with her radiation treatments... woohoo! We are very excited to be heading back to Manhattan. We pretty much have the weekend to try to have a little fun and then we quickly move into her 2nd cycle of antibodies on Monday. And I hope that this next round of antibodies will go just as smoothly as the first cycle. Im so thankful that Julia did not have any acute side effects from the radiation. Everyone at the radiation treatment facility was so amazing that I will honestly miss their kindness and generosity. Thank you for always being so welcoming and friendly. They loved Julia and made her feel so special. Their faces lit up every time Julia came in for her treatment. Julias hair has been growing back so nicely. I love rubbing her head... its so soft and fuzzy. I pray that her hair will never fall out again and that she wont ever need chemo. The further we get out from treatment, the scarier it is for me. To think that Julia has come this far. There are so many kids that never even make it to this point. And many get to this point only to find out later that they have relapsed. The chance of relapse is very high and its what I fear the most. But my fear will not get in the way of living my life and trying to enjoy every day I have with my kids. Our time here in NY is almost over. Its going to feel very weird going back home. Its been a very hard summer for our family, but by the grace of God we have gotten through it, as we always will. To Jesus through Mary, Julias mommy 1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
