Juliet EdgarReClaim 5 hrs · . A very busy surgery this afternoon (Friday) in Kirkdale. We are still waiting to hear about the BT Tribunal held in Chester last friday! We stopped a possession claim on Thursday and also overted 3 actual evictions at the Court on Thursday in Liverpool. The Housing Associations soon back down when confronted with the facts of an families circumstances!!!! These are often due to housing benefit delays and the bedroom tax. Judges in eviction courts are often now adjourning awaiting for the outcomes of BT Tribunals!!!! Thanks to the CAB Team in the County Court in Vernon Street, Liverpool, also thanks to Barbara Mcnamara! We had visitors from Huyton along with Maureen Fitzsimmons who bought to us a young mum who was facing possible eviction for BT arrears of under £300, we will get that sorted, with a DHP & BT Appeal, also the berating of her housing association KHT, for that threatening letter regarding her chidren, they are disgusting and are so complacent with their responsibilities to support tenants. This coming week is so busy! We have a BT Appeal in Wrexham on Monday (Flintshire County Council), three BT TRibunals in Liverpool on Tuesday and another three in Liverpool on Thursday!!!! DWP are also playing an interesting game of losing tenants ESA & PIP applications. We would like to thank the ReClaim volunteers- Joy Boyd, Mark Ray, Jill Rotherham, Mick Bennett, Maureen Fitzsimmons and Margaret Ball for the work you undertake with tenants!! Thank you all!!!
