July 1, 2014 was considered my retirement date from the Calhoun County School System after 30 years at Weaver High School and 2 years at the transportation department. I enjoyed the wonderful people at both places (school and shop) and still miss them dearly along with the community of Weaver and the bus drivers and aides. On my last day of work Dr. Banyon Allison, who took my place as transportation director, made sure that I went out with a bang. That morning we had a wonderful festive cake and then we went to Effinas A Tuscan Grille for lunch. It was a wonderful send-off. I have been truly blessed by wonderful co-workers. Below are pictures of both events...sure do miss these great guys!! Please note the t-shirt I am wearing...all in jest but reads Surrounded by Nuts - it is an M & M t-shirt I bought in NYC.
