July 10, 2013 Wednesday 14th Week in Ordinary Time Lord, today I affirm that all the work that I will do is going to be my generous response to Your call to discipleship. Allow Your life to grow in me that I may become more spiritually mature to be able to die to my self-centeredness and pride as I strive to focus on the needs of others while sharing with them the Good News of Your merciful love. Teach me to constantly seek Your face which leads me into deeper union with You and gives me the strength to be Your witness in the world so that others may know that the reign of God is at hand. Just as Your Apostles lit the flame of their love for their mission from the furnace of Your divine love, ignite my heart and take whatever I have to offer, however meager it may seem, and use it for the greater glory of Your Name. Plant Your love into my heart and enable me to become an instrument of Your blessings to the rest of the world. Amen Based on Today’s Gospel: Matthew 10:1-7
