July 10, 2014 Marvin Lee Suiter Anonymous Bluefield Daily Telegraph The Zope Gazette Thu Jul 10, 2014, 06:55 PM EDT PRINCETON - Marvin Lee Suiter, Sr., 83, of 900 Christie Avenue in Princeton, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born October 15, 1930 in Raleigh County he was the son of the late Elmer Suiter and Gertrude Cline Suiter. Marvin was a retired surveyor for the West Virginia Department of Highways with thirty-three years service and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Suiter. Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Joan Noble Suiter of Princeton; three sons, Marvin “Marty” Suiter of Kingsport, TN, Michael Suiter of Princeton, and Dale Suiter of Raleigh, NC; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Hannah. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Ray Stonestreet and the Rev. Olen Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
