July 11th, 2014 GODS INVESTMENT Hebrews 6:1-8 Beloved, Greetings! Hebrews 6:7. For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God (NKJV) DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT The writer of the book of Hebrew opens to us the mindset of the Father. The Father is a fruit conscious God. He looks for fruit in everything He does. Everything God takes you through and brings you to, is to produce some kind of a fruit that will be a blessing to humanity, endure for eternity and brings glory to His holy name. Every believer needs to understand that he is being cultivated for some people. There are people whose destinies have a lot to do with your fruitfulness, and whose righteousness is tied to your obedience. You are the earth that drinks in the rain of His blessing. The rain comes in different shapes and sizes, forms and format: the rain of salvation, the rain of His heavenly gifts, the rain of the Holy Spirit, the rain of the good word of God, the rain of the powers of the ages to come, everything the rain brings to you places a responsibility on you. God allows you to come into all these wonderful experiences in your walk with Him, and it is not without a purpose, He is preparing you for some people or places or purpose greater than yourself. Dont waste Gods investment in your life, use what you know, what you have, what you have learnt and every good thing Gods rain has brought to your life to impact your world where you are APPLICATION Dont waste Gods investment in your life.
