July 13-20, 2013 Outside The Box - Boston Boston, Massachusetts A brand-new, ground-breaking, eight-day performing arts festival taking place on the Boston Common and City Hall Plaza, featuring music, dance, theater, circus and culinary arts. The festival is designed to engage and encourage the residents and visitors of Boston to explore, discover and participate in the arts. For 10 hours every day Boston will experience music, drama, dance, and culinary creations from our city, our nation and around the world. Performers from six continents and more than 80 countries will perform at the festival – and local groups such as Shakespeare & Company, the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus and the American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) will participate. There will be a diverse program of nearly 300 events involving close to 1,000 artists performing in total. All outdoor performances will be free and open to the public.
