July, 14: On July 13th, the All Sikkim Musteroll and Workcharge(MR/WC) Government Employees Association in coordination with North District Association organized district level meeting at NDZP hall of Mangan district. The first session of the programme was graced by Up-Adhyaksha(N), NT Lepcha as chief guest, working President(ASMWGEA) of central body, members, Pema Doma Lepcha, DB Rasaily, TR Sharma, Ranjit Lama, Sashikala Pokhrel, Sunita Gurung, Tashi Bhutia,GS Rai, Roma Rai and Sunita, North district President, KP Nepal, general secretary,Nima Tamang and 70 members of the association. The actual agendas of the meeting was to impart information to cast their votes to working president of central body in coming election of the association which will be held on 21st August 3013 and to share the problems of all the MR/WC employees of North district for solution. The programme started with welcome address by general secretary of North district association wing. Chief Guest, in his address stated that in year 1994 the salary of the MR employees was only Rs.600 per month and at present the SDF government has upgraded it by Rs.6,000 per month. So, the demands of the association members will only be fulfilled by the ruling government and the government is trying best to solve the problems of the MR/WC government employees at priority basis but in official procedure it takes time to process the files. So, the association has to work in coordination with government for the members benefit. General secretary, North district in his address informed that on 29th June the North district wing of the association had passed few agendas and had formed sub-executive body in 10 government departments out of 22 government departments of Mangan district. He also urged that the president of district body should be given authorize to undersign on the association members identity cards and members have to obtain the authorization letter and workcharge employees should be sanctioned loans by the Banks on salary certificate. President, North district MR/WC Government Employees Association, in his address said that we all have to follow the rules and regulation of the association and provide positive service to felicitate our work and service in full pleasure. And all the problems and complaints of the members should come in written form to district executive members and as per the complaint the district wing will forward the matter to central executive body for the proper solution. In central body one member should be included in district body for transparency, all department MR/WC employees junior and seniority service list has to be submitted to association and the same has to be submitted to government at earliest, he suggested. He also, informed that the MR/WC employees should be provided festival allowance and MR employees be provided special retirement package from government for their security after retirement. President, central body, in her address offered best wishes to all the members on celebration of 199th birth anniversary of Bhanu Bhakta and said that, the association has been parting service for the benefit of the members and the problems of the MR/WC members are under process in DOP and other different department early process in proper coordination with government. So, the members too have to cooperate with association and follow up the official works and sometime have to object if the departments are following the unnecessary works. The association has already submitted the application highlighting the problems of the MR/WC government employees for early consideration, she informed.
