July 15 (Adapted from J.Smith) “Whenever I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” Psalm 56 v.3 We may have many fears, but we should take up David’s resolve. Our Lord is the only proper object of trust, and He should be trusted at all times. It is great when we can say, ‘I will depend on the faithful promises of my loving Heavenly Father; I will leave all in my Saviour’s hands. Let us trust in God- no matter how we feel. Our God has said,’ Trust in the Lord for ever.’ Let us seek grace to say with Job, ‘ Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.’ ‘Who trusts in God, a strong abode, in Heav’n and earth possesses; Who looks in love to Christ above, no fear his heart oppresses.’ (J.Magdeburg)
