July 17 2014- Just after 2120 hours, Box Alarm 11-31 was sounded for the house fire in the 10700 block of Graeloch Rd. Engine 62 with four volunteers and Truck 6 with four HCDFRS staff went en route. Chief 6A and Chief 6B also check up on the call. Upon arrival, Engine 111 (Scaggsville), gave the scene size-up of a two story house with fire on the first and second floor extending to the attic. E-62 arrived fourth due, and T-6 arrived as the fourth due special service. T-6 staged and was placed in service by command. E-62 went to work at the request of command securing utilizes and opening up the structure for ventilation. Upon completing this task, E-62 was sent to the second floor to assist with fire attack and overhaul. E-62 operated for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to service.
