July 18 - was up at 00:43 to take pictures of the midnight sun! Actually was finishing my book when got curious and peaked behind the drapes to discover this incredible sunset. I jumped into my boots, grabbed my shawl and ran outside with the ipad to take a couple of pictures. The still waters, the sun setting, the clouds of peach and lavender and sky blue, so peaceful. I could have stayed out if I hadnt been in my pajamas! After a lunch of gravlax, smoked trout, caviar, creme fraiche, salad and pudding over cherries Pierre and I walked to visit the church in Honningsvag, the last building left after nazis under Hitlers orders torched the area as they retreated. Inside we were delighted to hear a pianist and violinist rehearsing for a concert. What beauty. Now we await the departure, at 19:30 we will reach the northern most point of the cruise, 71 degrees 8 minutes north. Not that we are hungry but tonight will be served a buffet of seafood including crab. Not dieting yet!
