July 2, 2013 Local Forecast for the TN Valley Isolated Showers & Storms It is another unseasonably cool morning across the Tennessee Valley, with most temperatures as of 3:00 am, in the mid 60s. The sky has become mostly clear, but we have yet to see much in the way of any fog development, though some fog and misty conditions are still possible within the next couple of hours. Any fog that does form, will erode within the couple hours after sunrise. Today there will be a chance for showers and storms, but the threat is small and many will stay dry. High temperatures today are expected to warm mostly into the mid to upper 80s. As an upper low over the Ohio and Mississippi River Valleys, continues to move northwest, it will allow for a surge of moisture over the Tennessee Valley, greatly increasing rain chances over the coming days. The increase in rain and cloud cover, will mean unseasonably cool temperatures through the rest of the week. Flooding may become a concern, especially east of I-65 Thursday and Friday, as the will have the best chances for rain.
