July, 2013 Volume 22 WISDOM FROM THE WILD Excessive heat from the sun and destructive practices by poachers and campers are regular causes of fire outbreaks in the middle of some of the great forests in the world. When this outbreaks occur, almost every static or slow moving organism within its reach is consumed in the inferno. Grasses and trees are usually the first to go because of their immobile nature. Their Creator however, is not unaware of their limitations. Therefore, in order to ensure that ravaging fires do not erase the work of His hands from the earth’s surface, he included an advantageous twist to their design; He hides their storehouse of food under the earth where the fires cannot reach and keeps them firmly connected to it. This way, even when the surface specimen is devoured by fire, the supplies from the subsurface are on standby to nourish the grass or tree back to its former beauty immediately the rains return. Have you recently experienced a setback as a result of certain unfavorable circumstances that occured in your life? Well, I have good news for you; there’s still enough stuff left within you to enable you spring a powerful comeback. This is because it is in the nature of God to always leave a ‘remnant’. Satan does not have what it takes to completely destroy any person or group of people. Only the judgment of God can accomplish that and unless you are reading this article from within the gates of hell, you can cheer up because you are not living under God’s wrath; Jesus already took care of that for you. Quit the pity party and turn your life around by laying hold on the abundant and available grace of God. If Job did experience a positive turnaround in his affairs, so will you!
