July 24-- “At the Break of Day” The eighth beatitudes from Matthew 5:10: “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” You would think that persons who tried to live a good life--a life of righteousness--would be held in high esteem. But often, the opposite is true. Critics of followers of Christ may say they want righteousness but it is a righteousness as they define it, not as Jesus defines it. Righteous living. That’s what God calls us to...even in the face of criticism. Heavenly Father, may Your Spirit mold us more in Your image, the image of true righteousness, today. Amen! Bro. Steve
