July 29, 2014 Dear BES Families, As some of you may have - TopicsExpress

July 29, 2014 Dear BES Families, As some of you may have already heard, I have resigned from my positon here at BES effective the end of August. I have accepted a school nurse position in the Flemington-Raritan School District. When I accepted the school nurse position here in Bloomsbury, I never had any intention of leaving; I assumed I would be here until I retired. I did not go looking for the position in Flemington. The nurses there called me when a position became available through retirement. The Flemington-Raritan School District nurses are my mentors and colleagues. I weighed the pros and cons of my decision very carefully, having many sleepless nights. I love the children in the Bloomsbury community and the family feeling of the BES staff. However, as I’m sure everyone can understand, I need to put my own children and family first. The same school schedule (including breaks) as my children and 45 minutes less time commuting daily, all while being able to focus my entire attention on the role of the school nurse was too much to pass up. I have learned a tremendous amount during my time in Bloomsbury. I think I have left the health office a better place during my three years there. I am also thankful for all of the relationships I have developed during my time here. These are what I will certainly miss most. Thank you for the memories! I will miss each and every one of you. With great affection, Kathleen Barbee, RN
