July 4th = Independence Day... A trip down memory lane... The United States of America = International / Intranational / Interstate / Intrastate... Immigration / Migration / Nationalization / Integration / Assimilation... The U.S.A. - a mixed bag of governments (federal, state, county, municipal, villages, towns, townships, hamlets, commonwealths, communities)... A bigger mixed bag of people (color, nationality, religions, faiths, beliefs, ages, whole, disabled, disavowed)... And all governments and people = governing and living independent and dependent on each other... *** Think about this as we scarf down those burgers & beers... toss the balls & frisbees... play in the parks & in the water... watch & walk the parades... herald & applaud the concerts... and tonight - heads held upward as we oh & ah the pyrotechnic displays... *** Yes - The United States of America = home of us - We the People... and above all lifelong members of the Human Race... >>> I warmly invite you to look through all nine (9) photos this Independence Day... if you are not sure who some of these folks are, ask... especially if you reside in the State of California...
