July lab. results. The one value that tracks my multiple myeloma - TopicsExpress

July lab. results. The one value that tracks my multiple myeloma was exactly the same as last month. Al thought that was odd that it was exactly the same. It was 4, complete remission is 2 but if the program is effective at 4, well take it. One of the surrounding values was slightly higher, but still in the normal range. That was to be expected as I missed 2, I.V. chemo treatments because I needed oral surgery on a cracked tooth. Expect that to be down again next month. I am in no pain, however I take a handful of meds AM & PM. I tired easily and if I am to be productive all day long I must pace myself and rest several times during the day. Weeding is hard and I can only do a little at time due to the forward leaning position it requires. Working on the computer, researching on Ancestry, and scrapbooking is easier as I can do it in bed with the bed wedge and arrange the pillows so I an leaning back more than 90 degrees with lots of support. I can get a lot of work done like that. Not really driving, Jan, Ron, and Lauren see that I get to my appointments. Thankful the meds are working, to be feeling well, and to be home and not in the hospital is a blessing. Just going month to month regarding the treatment. Al was so excited that it is working that he put another patient on the exact same treatment, and it is working for him also. I thought that promising, as my myeloma is very aggressive. Continue to remember me and my family. Thanks, Susan
