July numbers: 28 formerly homeless veterans moved into new living quarters, including seven families. That brings the 2014 total to 174. We are moving someone in virtually every day we are open, five days a week, and supplying them with everything they need to set up housekeeping: furniture, beds and linens, toiletries, household goods, pots and pans, groceries, and other necessities. We are able to do it because of the generosity of the people of the greater Milwaukee area, who hold drives, donate, volunteer, and help and support us in other ways. Thanks for making it happen.
