A treasury accountant is a cash management specialist who helps the company increase profitability by assessing periodic liquidity needs, determining funding sources and investing excess cash. Job Description • Manages daily cash levels for the company’s departments and ensures that such levels are appropriate, based on operation needs. • Records the company’s cash transactions and ensures that a company properly accounts for and records cash transactions that should be complete and in adherence with generally accepted accounting principles of Egypt, company policies, industry guidelines and regulatory requirements. • Evaluates work flows and internal procedures within the finance department and recommends improvement initiatives to the direct manager. • Prepare weekly cash flows and cash forecast to ensure efficient cash management and sufficient funds for revenue items, capital budgets and major project plans. • Promote team working and advocate tasks sharing ensuring Treasury functions are met on day to day basis. • Responsible for own word processing, filing and general administration and clerical duties related to treasury department. • Prepare various financial analyses on operational results as required by the Manager or Director. • Cooperates with internal and external auditors; sees to the follow-up to audit recommendations accepted by Management; liaises with the Manager who report on the audit follow-ups. • Prepares various ad-hoc analysis or other studies as requested by the Manager or other interested parties. • Works with the Manager in the development of cash flow forecasting models Required Skills: - Bsc. of commerce strong analytical skills - 1 to 2 years of experience required. - Relevant experience and retail background are preferable.
